Glenn A. Yovino, DVM

Dr. Yovino knew early on he wanted to be a vet, and worked toward that goal both academically and by working in veterinary hospitals throughout high school and college. After graduating from high school in
New Hampshire. Dr. Yovino attended UNH for his BS in Animal Science and received his veterinary degree from the
Ohio
State
University in 1988. He worked in small animal practices in
Columbus,
OH,
North Conway,
NH, and
Rockland and
Searsport,
ME, before purchasing
Harbor
Road
Veterinary
Hospital in the fall of 1995. Dr. Yovino's professional interests include surgery, both orthopedic and soft tissue, and reproduction. He is on the board of the Humane Society of Knox County, and provides low cost veterinary services to that shelter.
Although Dr. Yovino's family lived all over the country when he was growing up, his mother's family is from this area, so settling down on this peninsula was like coming home. He lives in

Harbor with his wife Bethany, his children, Hannah, who attends UMO, and Seth, who attends
Maine
Maritime
Academy, two Cockers, Skeet and Gabby, and a Humane Society cat, Timmy. When he's not at the office, Dr. Yovino enjoys spending time with his family, working around the yard (especially with his tractor), playing hockey, hiking, biking and fly tying and fishing.

Carissa A. Bielamowicz, DVM
Dr. Bielamowicz graduated from the Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. Prior to joining the Harbor Road staff in October of 2003, she worked as a large animal ambulatory vet in Western Massachusetts. She still cares for many of Harbor Road's large animal patients, in addition to caring for companion animals. Her other practice interests include dermatology and feline kidney disease. In her free time, Dr. B enjoys hiking, sailing, kayaking, travel, volunteering with several local organizations including a marine mammal stranding group, and spending time with her Westie, Pippin.
